Caparo Modular Systems has been operating on the Neachells Lane site for over 70 years, initially as Willenhall Motor Radiator Company, moving through to Willenhall Manufacturing Ltd and more latterly, since 2006, as Caparo Modular Systems Ltd.
Caparo is a £1B Steel, Engineering and Automotive Group based in the UK, India and the US. Caparo Modular Systems is a core part of the Caparo Vehicle Products Division, a Division which specialises in the design and manufacture of a range of automotive components, including production of the T1 Sports Car.
Caparo Modular Systems operates in the Automotive, Niche Vehicle, Agricultural, Construction Equipment and General Engineering sectors, producing components for both the OEM’s and After Market. Major customers include, Jaguar Land Rover, Honda, Nissan, BMW, JCB and Case New Holland.
Our medium/heavy press capability is one of the largest in the UK and in 2009 we added a ‘Light Press’ facility with a 50T – 150T range and Progression Press capacity. As well as the core business of ‘Body in White’ and Structural Automotive Components, we also manufacture a range of Presswork for the General Engineering sector. This includes Press Relief and Press Rental work.
To support the Press capability, our processes include ; Sheet Metal working, Robotic Assembly, Fabrication, Painting, Laser Cutting and CNC Folding.
2009 saw the addition of a Composite Component design and manufacturing capability. As a result of the demand for strong, lightweight materials across a broad manufacturing base, we are able to offer bespoke solutions to suit all our customer’s needs.
We are also engaged in Niche Vehicle Chassis Design and Manufacture and have the capability to support our customer’s requirements from Concept creation right through to Production delivery.
